September the 11th might cause gloomy feelings to those whose families were killed or injured n the tragedy of 9/11 WTC in New York a couple of years ago but hopefully it did not bring the same feeling to the last 11/9this week, especially to the lottery winners in the state of California.
There was great information for lottery players winning on that day stating that the state of California will not apply tax to the money won in California Mega Million or the other lottery games in California. Although the federal tax is still applied, the winners regard this free-state tax as blessing because it is still considered a big amount of money.
According to the commission of the California Lottery, this policy can hopefully share the spirit of 9/11 although they are not really sure if any of the family members of the 9/11 tragedy wins the lottery in the State of California. Still, they hope people in other states can also feel the spirit of the 9/11 as there were some $250.000 winning tickets sold in some states on the 11 of September such as in Atlanta, Indiana, Massachusetts, New York, and Virginia.
