Remember this interesting story about two brothers claiming their Lottery win after 6 years? So here is their next story:
Lottery prizes are always tempting but it is not a reason to cheat others. To all lottery players, do check your lottery tickets after the lottery is drawn to know whether you win or not. This is a lesson that you should pay attention to when joining a lottery. The recent larceny done by Andy Ashkar and Nayel Ashkar proved that lottery winners sometimes open chances to other people to claim their winning. The Ashkar brothers were arrested by the police of Syracuse area for larceny charge after they claimed $5 million lottery prize which actually belongs to a father who bought the ticket in the Ashkar’s family shop.
The brothers were asked to check the man’s scratch off ticket a few years ago and they said that the ticket was worth not more than $5,000. The man just believed it and took $4,000 from the brothers after giving the ticket to them. The Ashkar brothers kept the ticket and claimed it on their names just days before it expired and asking the officials not to have the press conference. It turned out that the brothers had planned a conspiracy to cheat the winner and claim the money for themselves.
The brothers are now charged with larceny and conspiracy and they would likely be in jail for what they have done. For the lottery punters, do check your tickets yourself and make sure whether you win or not in the lottery games you join.
