Camelot Group that has been handling the operation of UK National Lottery will probably be expanding its lottery business in the US if the proposal offered to the Pennsylvania Lottery is accepted. Tom Corbett, state’s governor has not yet decided whether the operation of the Pennsylvania Lottery will be given to Camelot but the chance is quite high.
This matter has been in discussion for a long time and so far, it is only Camelot that has stood to be the only bidder offering a great amount of money, $3.5 billion, for the project. The previous governor of Pennsylvania who now works for adviser group Greenhill Partners, Ed Rendel, said that if Corbett is willing to sign on the agreement the Greenhill Partners would make millions of dollars.
A lot of people think that Camelot would perhaps improve the lottery because this group has been the pro in the lottery industry (it had started handling the UK National Lottery since 1994) so it would be able to lead it into better operation. If it is so, the lottery will contribute more to the education and other charity program in the state of Pennsylvania. The decision will be taken by Monday.
